A new 3-disc boxset called Black Vinyl Shoes Anthology 1973-1978 is coming August 31 from the UK label Cherry Red Records.  This 58 track compilation features remastered versions of the Black Vinyl Shoes album, the One In Versailles album and the Bazooka album, in addition to 16 rare tracks, outatkes and previously unreleased tracks.  The boxset includes a 16 page booklet with extensive liner notes. Yes, SHOES will be venturing out to do our first live show in over 3 years on friday, August 11th, 2017 at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL!  Teaming up with our pals in The Dwight Twilley Band and Illinois native's Pezband for a fun triple bill evening of melodic rock.  Tickets are on sale, now at the Arcada website;

Trailer for "The Power Pop Movie" features Shoes, "Tomorrow Night"! 

Filmaker Justin Fielding is in the process of filming a new music documentary called, "The Power Pop Movie" that looks to grasp a definition of the genre, talk to artists often included in the genre and feature songs and interviews for "the greatest music never heard"!  The exhaustive endeavor will eventually include hundreds of interviews and clips of some of the most prominent and seminal artists of the category.

SHOES members film interviews for music documentary 

On the heals of the April 18th Record Day release of the "Primal Vinyl" LP and the release of the new Ken Sharp book  "Play On! Power Pop Heroes Vol. 2" (featuring a 38 page chapter on Shoes), Boston film maker Justin Fielding flew in this week and spent 3 days interviewing the band for his upcoming music documentary "The Power Pop Movie".  Tentatively set for a 2016 release, you can follow the progress with updates of the film's progress here; www.powerpopmovie.com
